I was one of the mentors for the second Gorey Chamber – Business Startup Workshop last night. There were representatives from local Banks, Accountants, HR Support, Solicitors, Insurance, the County Enterprise Board and I represented the IT Sector. It was great to meet enthusiastic, positive people with some very practical ideas for starting new businesses. It was also great to see the chamber and the Local Business Community giving there time freely to help boost enterprise in North Wexford. Well done to all concerned. Let’s have more of this positive approach to entrepreneurship in Gorey and North Wexford.

Attended the free seminar run by Eugene Daly and hosted by Gorey Chamber. While there was no magic solution or dramatically new sales ideas, Eugene gave an excellent interactive presentation where he outlined, using practical examples for the different types of businesses attending, how you can take some simple steps that will allow us all to focus our sales efforts in ways that could deliver real results.
